From the time our little black girls come into the world, they are bombarded with images and messages that don’t always affirm who we are as individuals and future leaders. We must work a bit harder to ensure that little black girls like me grow up to be strong and confident women who understand our true power, beauty, intellect and value to the world.
Little Black Pearls for Little Black Girls is a book for all ages! This book is filled with beautiful pearls of wisdom to inspire pride and confidence in the reader.
We are a mother daughter duo who believe that confidence is the key to success. My mom and I are passionate about making sure that women and girls recognize that they have superpowers.

Kennedy Jordan Turner is an energetic 11 year old whose confidence is infectious! She is a voracious reader, an energetic dancer, a gifted artist, YouTuber and a fan of coding and technology. From the time she was born in March of 2009 she has seen nothing but black excellence. From birth, she has been told that she can be and do anything that she desires, that her skin and hair is beautiful and that her voice and opinion matters. This has led to a confidence that we want to share with the world.
